Join us for an outdoor recreation activity to meet other summit attendees, experience the amazing recreation opportunities in the Heber Valley, and celebrate the incredible industry we are a part of and of course, have fun!

We are asking for a $20 donation for your participation for most activities which will go towards helping bring students from the 7 universities in Utah who have Outdoor Recreation degree programs to our summit.

You can still register for additional activities after you have already registered for the summit. *Please note: most activities are on Tuesday 9/4 from 1:30-4:30 pm so we recommend double checking you are not signing up for two activities at the same time.

Ride with a Tour of Utah Pro-Rider

Tuesday September 4 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM-50 spots, FREE EVENT

Come ride around beautiful Heber Valley with Tour of Utah pro-riders! This FREE ride will be your chance to spend 1.5 hours cycling with our very own local talent TJ Eisenhart and 2 other pro-riders. Join the Tour of Utah Summer of Cycling with this exclusive Utah Outdoor Recreation Summit event. This ride is designed for intermediate riders and is fully supported with a SAG vehicle, nutrition and breaks. Bring your own bike, or rent from a local bike shop. Waiver to be signed on site.

Intermediate Mountain Bike Ride with Gregory Mountain Products

Tuesday September 4th from 1:30 to 4:30 PM-10 spots

Come ride the local trails on an intermediate-level trail. This group ride will be led by Gregory Mountain Products ambassador, pro-rider and certified instructor, Erica Tingey. Experience the world-class trails around the Heber Valley, demo Gregory product, meet new people and get your shred on! Participants will be entered into an opportunity drawing for a Gregory Mountain Bike pack. Bring your own mountain bike and helmet, or rent from a local bike shop. Sign-up now to reserve your spot!

Women’s Mountain Bike Ride with Discover Utah Magazines

Tuesday September 4th from 1:30 to 4:30PM- 10 spots

Come ride the local trails on a women’s only ride. This group ride will be led by local entrepreneur and experienced mountain biker Monique Beeley, creator of Discover Utah Magazines. All levels of mountain biking experience welcome. Experience the world-class trails around the Heber Valley, meet other amazing female mountain bike riders, and get your shred on! ATV Ride with Wasatch Excursions

Tuesday September 4th from 1:00 to 3:00PM – 38 spots $30

Not many off road enthusiasts have the opportunity to ride on a guided tour of Heber Valley’s backcountry. With limited spots and an incredible value, this activity is sure to be a “can’t miss” experience. Come ride the local trails on a beginner-friendly trail with a group and an experienced guide from local touring shop Wasatch Excursions. ATVs will be provided. Stand-Up Paddleboarding with Jimmy Styks

Tuesday September 4th from 1:30-4:30 pm- 20 spots

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the fastest growing watersport recreational activities. Learn what makes it so fun and exciting from local SUP brand Jimmy Styks. Instructors will walk you through the types of paddleboard constructions (inflatable, HDPE, epoxy), different shapes and explain the features and benefits of each. Following the dry land portion of the class, attendees will have the opportunity to get out on the water and experience SUP. There will be two on the water classes, one for beginners to learn about basic paddling techniques and one for more advanced paddlers, to learn about paddle stroke technique, SUP racing, white water SUPing and more. Guided Fly Fishing

What Makes a Great Trail? Trail Building Field Workshop

This is hands on education out in the field. Come learn from experts on how to mitigate recreation impact on natural lands with design and proactive management. Come prepared to be out hiking and examining local trails and learn their techniques and story of being built. Mobile Active Transportation Tour

Come ride a bike through Heber and Midway with local planners, experts, politicians and advocates to experience first-hand bicycle and pedestrian projects and learn how to implement similar projects in your own communities. Dark Skies Program and Photography Workshop

9/5 9:00-10:00 pm FREE Event and No Registration Needed

Take advantage of Midway’s beautiful night skies with this exclusive dark skies naturalist program that not only dives into astronomy, but also includes a special nighttime photography workshop. Learn how to take that perfect starry shot while staying warm with provided hot cocoa! The activity will be at the Soldier Hollow Pavilion and shuttles will take you back to the Zermatt Resort.

Yoga in the Crater with Park City Yoga Adventures

Sunrise Hike @ Wasatch Mountain State Park

Come hike a local trail with amazing folks from Bivy.com and Andy Earl (a professional adventurer)! Network with other early birds and get your exercise in early! You will also be able to demo shoes from Salomon! This is a FREE activity, but you must register to reserve your spot. Sponsored by Bivy and Amer Sports.

Service Projects

Wednesday September 5th from 2:30 to 5:30 PM – FREE EVENT

Come give back to support those outdoor recreation activities you love! This new event is for attendees to get some fresh air, network with others through experience, and help boost some local outdoor recreation areas. Giving back and volunteering can help you reduce stress, find friends, reach out to the community, and learn new skills. Giving to others can also help protect your mental and physical health. This special opportunity is part of the agenda, and those that attend a service project will be entered into a special volunteer-only drawing for gear from local companies.

Sunrise Yoga @ Wasatch Mountain State Park

Thursday September 6th from 6:00 to 7:00 AM- 20 spots, FREE EVENT

Get ready for the day with outdoor sunrise yoga with Chelise Baird from Granogi. Chelise is passionate about connecting with the outdoors whether it be through traveling to amazing places, hiking, or simply being outside in nature. Network with other early birds and get your zen on early! All participants will receive a Granogi Outdoor Yoga towel. Bring your own mat. This is a FREE activity, but you must register to reserve your spot. Meet at the Wastach Mountain State Park Visitor’s Center 6 am.
