Dustin is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. He grew up on the Navajo reservation in Coyote Canyon, New Mexico. Dustin is married to Chauma Kee-Jansen (Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes) and they have four children. Dustin works as an Assistant Professor of American Indian Studies at Utah Valley University and is currently serving as Director of Utah Division of Indian Affairs. Dustin received an Associates of Science from Utah Valley State College, a Bachelor’s degree in History from Brigham Young University, and earned his Juris Doctorate from University of Utah-SJ Quinney College of Law. Since 2005 Dustin has worked in Indian Law as an Attorney and/or Tribal Court Judge.
