Eric Ellis was hired as the Executive Director of the Utah Lake Commission in March of 2015. Eric came to the Utah Lake Commission with a well-rounded mix of experience and education. He completed an ASc in Business Administration from Utah Valley University and a BA in Marketing Communications from Brigham Young University. After working for a few years in the marketing industry Mr. Ellis pursued a graduate degree in Public Administration from University of Utah emphasizing in local government management.
After completing his graduate studies and while interning with Salt Lake City’s budget management office, Mr. Ellis took a position working as Advisor to Utah’s Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell.
Following his time with the Lt. Governor, Mr. Ellis was hired by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources within the Department of Natural Resources as the Policy Analyst to implement Governor Gary Herbert’s Conservation Plan for Greater Sage-grouse.
