Hilary Lambert

Taking learning outside is Hilary’s passion. With history as both a guide in Alaska, California, Idaho and Utah and as a first and second grade classroom teacher, Hilary is interested in the intersection of recreation and education. Hilary’s goal is to connect children and their communities to the natural world, both in the schoolyard and through adventures away from home. Her consulting portfolio includes working with schools to design and use outdoor classrooms, teaching outdoor play and learning classes to families as a Tinkergarten Leader, and instructing science and outdoor education courses in both the k-12 and higher education classroom. Hilary is the CEO of the Wasatch Mountain Institute, a Utah non-profit dedicated to connecting children, their families, and communities to the wonder, recreational and educational opportunities in the Wasatch range. Hilary is dedicated to expanding outdoor access to Utah’s kids, serving on the Governor’s Office of Outdoor Recreation Advisory Committee and Every Kid Outdoors Subcommittee, the Central Wasatch Commission Stakeholders Council, and the Utah Outdoor Association Membership Committee.
