I’m the Executive Director and a founding board member of Ride with Respect (RwR), a nonprofit based in Moab that conserves motorized trails and their surroundings. Since 2002, RwR has performed over 20,000 hours of trail work on state and federal lands. RwR also educates off-highway vehicle (OHV) riders about minimum-impact practices, and advocates for diverse recreational opportunities by participating in public-lands planning. In 2005 I graduated from the University of Montana with an M.S. in Recreation Management. From 2012 to 2020 I served on the State of Utah’s OHV Advisory Council. Currently I serve on Grand County’s Motorized Trails Committee, the BLM’s Utah Resource Advisory Council, the National OHV Conservation Council’s board of directors, and the American Motorcyclist Association’s board of directors. Personally I’ve enjoyed many kinds of recreation so long as they’re in natural places.
