Stacy Bare

Stacy Bare, founder of Adventure United and Adventure United Foundation, is a husband, father, climber, and skier. He also served a tour of duty as the Counter Terrorism Team Chief at the US National Intelligence Center in Sarajevo in 2003/04 and received Ambassadorial Commendation. He served a tour in Baghdad, Iraq as a Civil Affairs A Team Leader in 2006/07 and received the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service. In between Bosnia and Baghdad, he was an explosive ordnance disposal technician in Angola and Abkhazia. Since returning home from war, Stacy used climbing and skiing to overcome addiction, alcoholism, and suicidal ideation. 

Adventure United is a new kind of health company that combines Stacy’s years of experience leading in the outdoors and focuses on improved health outcomes through outdoor adventure. He is also a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year and has completed expeditions to Angola, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
