Bryce Bird

Air Quality Division Director, Utah Department of Environmental Quality

Bryce Bird was appointed director of the Utah Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality in June 2011, after having worked in planning and compliance programs at the Department since 1991. As Director he is focused on implementing regulatory programs that are tied to measurable air quality improvement. Bryce holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. Bryce is a member of the Utah National Guard’s 23rd Army Band where he has served for 32 years and is an amateur wildlife artist who also enjoys astronomy and exploring wild places throughout the western states.
