Locke Ettinger, PT, PhD

Vice-Chair, Get Healthy Utah

Former Executive Director of Health Promotion and Wellness for Intermountain Healthcare, a healthcare system consisting of 22 hospitals, 190 clinics, and a health insurance. Responsibilities included strategic development and implementation of health promotion and wellness for our employees, members, patients and the community at large.

Culture and environment have a profound influence on the individual’s ability to adopt healthy behaviors. This requires engaged business leaders and effective community partnerships. I am the Vice-Chair for Get Healthy Utah, a collaborative effort aimed at reducing obesity through improved healthy eating and active living for all Utahns. Society is challenged with sedentary lifestyles, social isolation, health disparities and lack of community. Although complex, these social and health issues can be addressed as business leaders and community members come together and work hard toward a shared vision.

I am looking for new opportunities to facilitate change for individuals, organizations and communities. I would be interested in discussing how my expertise would be of benefit to your organization.
