Mike Flynn is currently the Chief Operating Officer at the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah). In that role he is responsible for the creation and execution of the organization’s annual Strategic Recruiting Plan, designed to bring more jobs and investment to the state. Mike first joined EDCUtah in 2003 as the organization’s Research Manager and during his tenure has held a number of different positions. In 2012 Mike left EDCUtah and joined the Charlotte Regional Partnership as the Vice President of Economic Development Services, serving in that role for two years. Mike rejoined EDCUtah in 2015 and relocated back to the state in 2016. He loves helping companies solve complex problems and working toward creating better jobs for Utah residents. As a father of two young children, Mike jokes that his only remaining hobby is sleep. In over 15 years with EDCUtah, he has lived in Utah, California, and North Carolina.
