Ryan Starks is the Executive Director of Wasatch County Economic Development—an organization that oversees the Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce, Heber Valley Tourism, and numerous other economic development programs. Ryan also teaches as an adjunct professor in BYU’s Marriott School of Business. Ryan previously worked in the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development and later in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.
Ryan is from the Ogden area and received a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University where he served as student body president. Later, Ryan received his Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University and a professional certificate in economic development from the University of Oklahoma. Ryan serves on various public and non-profit boards, including the Utah State Parks and Recreation board, the Utah Office of Tourism board, and the Heber Valley Rail Road board.
Ryan and his wife Amy live in the beautiful Heber Valley and stay busy raising their three sons and one daughter.
