Stephanie is a senior transportation planner at Fehr & Peers Transportation Consultants in Salt Lake City, and the Vice Chair of the Bike Utah board of directors. Stephanie’s passion is active transportation. Through her work and experience she is constantly striving to bring together rigorous data science and thought-provoking graphic design when planning and designing for the needs of active transportation users. Being a daily active transportation user herself, she is intimately familiar with the importance of great walking and cycling facilities. In addition to active transportation expertise, she brings experience in regional landscape level analysis, systems thinking and environmental planning and design. Before joining the firm Stephanie directed a nationally recognized cycling education and advocacy program at Utah State University and was involved in various campus and local community planning efforts while pursuing her masters in Bioregional Planning. She also completed a course titled Planning the Cycling City at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where she developed and international perspective on active transportation infrastructure design best practices, policies and implementation strategies.
