For more than three decades, Traci Fitzgerald has been a catalyst for change and a force for good in the community. She started her career at SkyWest Airlines, where over a 22-year span Traci spearheaded the company’s travel programs securing and extending benefits to thousands of employees across the nation, and built SkyWest’s employee recognition and leadership training programs from the ground up.
Joining Dixie Technical College more than 12 years ago, she currently serves as Vice President of Industry and Community Relations managing more than 80 business and industry continuing education courses as well as the Emergency Response Training Center. Traci also has oversight of the State Custom Fit Program which assists Utah businesses in economic and workforce development, and manages the events side of Dixie Tech’s community outreach. She also serves on the Board for the Women’s Influence Center supporting and promoting women’s personal, professional and leadership development, a non-profit foundation under the umbrella of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce.
She assisted in engineering growth at Dixie Tech: moving the college from 6 to 23 full time programs where students receive skills training and over 95% of graduates are placed in jobs. Traci is passionate about the mission of Dixie Tech: Forward Thinking; Future Focused, and Career Ready.
Her ability to look at problems from a myriad of angles has made her an expert at turning challenges into opportunities. She seeks out all sides of the issue continues to be a benefit to those around her and creating a greater collective impact for businesses and the community.
For over 30 years, Traci has lived and played in one of the most beautiful outdoor meccas—Utah’s Dixie with her husband, two sons and their families. She has four amazing grandbabies who light her life and keep her energetic.
