Will McCarvill

Will is currently the Chair of the Utah Chapter of the Sierra Club and previously served as the President and Conservation Director of the Wasatch Mountain Club. He represents the Sierra Club as a member of the Central Wasatch Commission stake holder committee and as a member of the Forest Service Salt Lake Ranger District stakeholder committee. He participated in the recent  update of the Salt Lake County Wasatch Canyons Master plan as well as many other planning processes. 

An avid outdoors person Will has hiked, climbed and back country skied the Wasatch ever since he moved here from Delaware  in 1985. He also fell in love with the San Rafael Swell in the late 80’s and conducts wilderness boundary surveys and remediation in conjunction with the BLM Price Field Office. It was through his outdoor activities that Will became involved in advocacy protecting our public lands and wild places.
