Jamie Hackbarth serves as a Deputy Economic Development Representative for the Economic Development Administration supporting Colorado and Utah communities to pursue funding for their economic development needs. Her diverse international career path awakened her passion for equitable and sustainable development. Previously, she served at the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) working on rural development programs and Opportunity Zones. She started her career through her Peace Corps service in rural Peru followed by working as a Latin America field representative for Impact Global Education. She currently serves as the Impact Chair of the Global Shapers Denver Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
Jamie graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s in Strategic Communication with minors in Spanish and Marketing. She has advanced proficiency in the Spanish language. In her free time, Jamie thrives on finding adventure and adversity in the outdoors. She is a Certified Wilderness First Responder, Open Water Scuba Diver, Certified Yoga Teacher, and has led several international trips for NGOs.
