About the summit
SEPTEMBER 12-13th IN KAMAS
An annual event, the Utah Outdoor Recreation Summit focuses on how we strengthen outdoor recreation communities, the outdoor recreation economy, and improve health and quality of life for all Utahns. The Summit is a space that elevates the crucial conversation about the importance of outdoor recreation for the economy, health, quality of life and so much more. It is a place to greet old friends, convene about issues, create new partnerships and play outdoors together. Join us!
We heard your feedback from the past few years – the Summit will be shorter than it was prior to 2020 – and we’ll still have everyone’s favorites: awesome outdoor activities, a delicious kickoff dinner, educational and inspiring content, the Outdoor Market, a stewardship project, and networking opportunities galore!
Outdoors forward
Our 2022 Summit theme, Outdoors Forward, is a focus on the future of outdoor recreation, and how we work toward that in the present. Outdoors Forward is meant to improve the way we participate, plan, and prioritize outdoor recreation.

Venue
DeJoria Center | Kamas
Nestled into the Uinta foothills on the beautiful High Star Ranch with gorgeous views of the Wasatch Mountains, DeJoria Center is a world-class event venue.
Bring the outdoors in during Outdoor Recreation Summit breakout sessions this year. The DeJoria Center has breakout rooms with stunning views through floor-to-ceiling windows that open. And we know you want more classroom time outdoors – we’ll have breakout sessions and workshops taking place outside, under the shade of the open, airy barn (check it out!).
