This year Mike Thomas is celebrating 5 years with the OHV Program which also happens to be the 50th Anniversary of the program. Since starting with the state he has recruited, partnered and worked with over 500 volunteers, 40 non-profit OHV clubs, the US Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and 6 educational institutions as well as multiple counties within the state of Utah. Through these partnerships he has coordinated over 50 motorized service projects across the state. Safety, education and service are the foundation of the statewide OHV volunteer program. He believes that leadership, mentorship and team culture are important values when seeking success in any or all aspects of the recreation field. Mike is a proud Utah native, husband and father of two with one on the way. He is a film actor in his spare time and loves exploring Utah with his family.
