Cheryl is the Executive Director of the Get Outside Non-profit, which focuses on fostering a love for nature and outdoor recreation among youth in Washington and Iron Counties. With a background in community service, Cheryl worked as an office manager in rural California for 16 years, led a nonprofit, developed a Community Garden, helped raise $25k in donations, and planned and managed the building of the first Dog Park in Kern County and the 911 memorial in Murrieta, California. Each project that Cheryl has organized has had hundreds of volunteers, contributing to their success. Active with JustServe.org since 2010, she has coordinated over 50 projects across multiple states. Cheryl received the Interfaith Council of Murrieta and Temecula Valley’s first Humanitarian Award for her service. She and her husband, Larry, moved to St. George in March of 2020 after serving in the marketing department at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii. Cheryl is a mother of three, stepmother of three, and grandmother of three.
