Eunjung Yang is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Environment and Society at Utah State University. Her academic training reflects a high degree of interdisciplinarity, combining a B.S. and M.S. in Geography, and a Ph.D. in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. The overarching theme of Eunjung’s research agenda is sustainable tourism and community development. Her primary research goal is to shed light on the role of tourism in the creation of healthy, sustainable, and resilient communities in order to improve people’s quality of life. In addition, she is interested in applying geospatial methodologies to tourism and recreation in order to more correctly understand spatially varying phenomena and to predict future community resilience and quality of life.
