James Hall is the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor at Escalante Petrified Forest State Park with the Utah Division of State Parks. Although he is new to state park employment, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. His career spans 13 years in the energy industry with a municipal power company and 20 years in the heavy truck, bus, equipment, and automotive repair industry.
Originally from Salt Lake City, James discovered his love for the outdoors at 16 while working summer jobs at Ruby’s Inn and other local places. This early passion for nature has now come full circle as he returns to Garfield County, where he intends to finish his working life surrounded by the landscapes he cherishes.
