Jim Ireland has been the superintendent of Bryce Canyon National Park since 2021, transferring from the Timpanogos Cave National Monument where he was the superintendent and NPS Utah State Coordinator. Jim’s NPS career began in 1982 as a high school intern in Petrified Forest National Park, and he has subsequently had assignments in a dozen parks over 42 years. In 2009-2010 he held a Bevinetto Congressional Fellowship, working with the House Natural Resources Committee staff and the NPS Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs.
