Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Public Health from Brigham Young University-Idaho and currently is working towards her Master of Public Health through Utah State University. She began her career as a Health Educator at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho where she focused on the health education needs of the hospital and the surrounding community. Currently, Sarah serves as the Healthy Living Health Educator for the Salt Lake County Health Department. Her position primarily focuses on diabetes management implementation in Salt Lake County, working with clinics on quality improvement projects, and promoting physical activity through parks prescriptions to decrease the impact of chronic disease. Sarah is passionate about creating opportunities for better health in disparate populations and connecting people to the outdoors to improve their health in innovative ways.
